2. Date Night

Sypnosis : Phil and Claire Foster are a couple who have been married for several years. Their days consists of them taking care of their children and going to work and coming home and going to bed. But they find time to have a date night wherein they go out and spend some time together. When another couple they know announce that they're separating because they're in a rut, Phil feels that he and Claire could be too. So when date night comes Phil decides to do something different. So they go into the city and try to get into a new popular restaurant. But when it's full and still wanting to do this, Phil decides to take the reservation of a couple who doesn't show up. While they're having dinner two men approach them and instructs them to stand up and go with them. They think the men are with the restaurant and want to talk to them about taking someone else's reservation. But it appears the couple whose reservation they took crossed someone and the two men work for this person. The men are after something, but whatever it is they don't have it.

My Review :

My first impression was it will be another of comedy flick by Steve Carrel. My friend (who already watched the movie) kept insisted that the movie is different. So, on 20th April 2010, I went to watch the movie. Laugh.. Laugh.. relax for few minutes.. then laugh again. It an endless laugh by the audience except for one scene where they were talking about their life in an Audi  which is kinda serious. Steve Carrel and Tina Frey gives their best in this movie. I think this is the best Steve Carrel movie after 40 Year Old Virgin. Well, it just take one bad decision on a date to end up funnily miserable. That what this movie mainly about. The action in the movie is funny but it's not much of an 'action'. Except for the car scene. If they put some kinda 'Jackie Chan martial art fighting' then it would be more fun.

The tag 18PL do not show what is this movie about. I suggest that the tag be changed to 18SX. That's what this movie about. =.=. There's a lot of dialog that is toward that. So, please, no children to watch this. Only open minded person allowed to watch the movie. Hehe~

So, that's all I wanna write about the movie. It's worth a watch but with less target audience. A rating of 6.5/10 is given by me.

1. Clash of The Titans

I've been thinking, what is the movie that I want to review first. So, why not start with the movie that I watched recently : Clash of The Titans. Please be aware that my review will contain spoiler. :P

Sypnosis : "The Clash of the Titans" is set in the Greek city of Argos where a war is about to explode between man and the gods. Perseus (Sam Worthington) raised as a fisherman, but is actually a demi-god. Perseus is the son of Zeus (Liam Neeson) who is about to take on the gods after the death of his family. Zeus' brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) was the one who kill his family, and Perseus wants to kill him. However, it is Perseus's destiny to rescue the city of Argos from the ruthless rage of Hades and his Kraken monster. With nothing to lose, Perseus leads a band of soldiers on a quest to defeat the Kraken. In doing this, Perseus will prevent Hades from overthrowing Zeus and in turn destroying mankind.


My Review :

First of all, I like the graphic. It's kinda like watching 300. For those DOTA fans, there will be some character that will remind you of DOTA heroes. If you already watch Percy Jackson and The Olympian : The Lightning Thief or you were an expert in Greece myth, you will not have difficulty to watch this movie. There were some scene that need more explanation. Sam Worthington played his role very good as in AVATAR. It's kinda like rush to the ending movie because I really felt that the director want to end the movie in a fast pace . The intro and the middle or the story is full of breathtaking action, but the ending is not so good

Religiously, there were some people detest to this movie because they said that the story try to teach us that we can fight GOD. My advice to them is that just watch it for FUN. I had fun watching this film. Personally, I think that guidance from parent/guardian is important if you want to bring children to watch this movie.

In conclusion, this movie is worth to watch and a rating of 7/10 is given by me.

* I watched this movie in 3D two days ago... and it's not much of a 3D movie. I'm not impress with the 3D experience on the movie.. Except for the translation that I'm not understand.. =.=. My advice is that don't waste your money/time on this film for the 3D version. It's as much as the non-3D one..
